Lost or Damaged items

Breakage – if you have broken something, DON’T PANIC!  We realise that some toys will break as a result of normal wear and tear.  However, if we consider the damage to have been caused by misuse, a fee may be charged (to enable us to replace the broken item)

Lost piece – should you misplace a piece, you will be asked to re-borrow the toy for a further two weeks so as to locate the piece. If not found after that time you will be charged a small fine.  If the piece is found at a later date, a partial refund is given.

Broken or Lost piece $5.00 per piece
Missing piece returned $3.00 per piece  refunded
Loss of entire toy or piece essential to toy Determined by Committee on a case-by-case basis

Please note that normal wear and tear will NOT be charged for.

Existing members can notify us of missing pieces using this online form.

Member Duty

As our toy library is run for the members by the members, everyone is required to do 4 duties per year. One duty equals one toy library borrowing session. After nominating your available duty times, you are then allocated one duty per school term.

Duty entails checking of returned toys against the inventory on their bag. If you are unable to complete your rostered duty, alternative duties are available (some of which can be done from home) such as various toy curating activities.

Benefits of Member Duty:

Members on duty are entitled to borrow an additional toy in that session.

Duty is a great way to see the huge variety of toys the library has on offer, and meet other parents.

Drop in to the Toy Library during one of our borrowing sessions to take a look at our toys, or go to the NTL membership form to join us.
